OnePlus Nord CE 5G launched- Complete specifications! Buy or not?

Today OnePlus unveiled their next device in the budget Nord lineup. OnePlus Nord CE 5G is not a successor of the original Nord but a completely new device. Is this the “gimmick” device from OnePlus? Considering they used the same design as the Nord. Read this article till the end to know if this is a worthy device or not!

SPECIFICATIONS of OnePlus Nord CE 5G

Display

OnePlus Nord CE 5G equips a 2400*1080 410ppi resolution display. The dimension ratio is 20:9. It is an AMOLED panel coupled with a 90hz refresh rate. The display also supports features like

Ambient mode
Night mode
Reading mode

For the price, this is not the best display available in the market right now. Although, it is a pretty decent display considering the brand value of OnePlus(it is declining, though, lol!). We can easily get 120hz Amoled with a better touch sampling rate in this budget.

Performance

OnePlus Nord CE 5G comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G mobile platform chipset. It has the Adreno 619 graphic processing unit for processing games and videos. This processor also supports 5G, GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou A-GPS, and Navic.

You would be able to perform daily tasks very smoothly without any lag and stutters. It can also play games at medium to medium-high settings very smoothly. So no problems on the part of the chipset. Although, you can get better performance at this price because of the presence of Mediatek Dimensity 1200 and 1100 supported phones

Camera

We have a lot to tell about the cameras. There is a 64 MP main shooter with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP scrap along with a flash. The Front camera is a 16MP shooter that is a Sony IMX471. The back has a triple camera setup which is technically a double camera setup. OnePlus Nord CE 5G supports video recording up to 4K 30FPS.

It also supports features like-

Super Slow motion @1080p from 720p to 240FPS
Time Lapse @ 1080p 30FPS
And a inbuilt video editor

We expect the main sensors to perform similar to the competition, both the front and the back. To be Honest, we still cannot comment on the actual media quality as we don’t have the device to test out(Pls guys comment and share this article so that companies can send us some device so we can bring detailed, unbiased reviews for you guys????????????)

Battery and Charging

OnePlus Nord CE 5G contains a 4000MAh battery inside it. It also couples up with a Fast charger(5V/6A). As claimed by OnePlus, This Charger can completely charge the device in less than 1 and a half hours. The battery life will also be decent considering the AMOLED display and the battery saving 7nm chipset

Software and Miscellaneous

This device runs the Oxygen OS, a custom skin developed by OnePlus based on Android 11. Oxygen OS is a very snappy and quick skin with plenty of useful features. The device also supports NFC and dual-band wifi support. The Indian variant will only have a single 5G band (N78) which is the biggest drawback. 5G bas Naam ka hi hai!!!

Pricing of OnePlus Nord CE 5G

The OnePlus CE 5G is priced at Rs. At this price, it suffers competition from IQOO Z3, Realme X7 max, and the rumored upcoming POCO F3 GT. Judging on the On-Paper specs and the pricing, OnePlus somewhere or the other gets crushed up by the competition this time. However, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is a decent offering for normal users and content consumers. It comes in multiple variants 6GB 128GB priced at 22999, an 8 128 GB variant priced at 24999, and a 12 256 at 27999. All are in INR. Check out the OnePlus official site for more details.
