Both of the smartphones come with some crazy and cool features such as ready for mode. Also, the Edge 20 has the highest Touch sampling rate ever in a smartphone.

The Motorola Edge 20 has a 6.7” FHD+ OLED display with 1B colors. This display comes with a refresh rate of 144Hz and 576Hz of touch-sampling rate, So it will be a “VARDAAN” for gamers. It also has the support of HDR 10+.

Performance

The Motorola Edge 20 has Snapdragon 778G processor. For the price, it is a decent processor and can handle all the tasks such as video editing, etc. Edge 20 fusion has a Dimensity 800U processor. It’s also a capable processor for the price and can handle all the heavy tasks.

UI

Both come with MY UX which is exactly stock Android with some extra features. It is based on Android 11. Motorola also promised to give 2 years of Android updates to both smartphones.

Camera

Both the phone comes with a triple rear camera setup at the back. Both of them have 108 MP primary shooters. The Edge 20 Has a 16MP Ultrawide sensor and an 8MP Telephoto with 3x Optical zoom. The Edge 20 Fusion Has a 108MP primary, 8MP Ultrawide and 2MP Macro. Both have a 32MP selfie camera.

The main camera can shoot up to 4K@30fps. In Edge 20, 1080p@240fps. In Edge 20 Fusion, 1080p@120fps. The front can shoot up to 1080p@30fps. Both have typical camera features of MY UX.

Connectivity

Edge 20 series have multiple 5G bands for the perfect use of 5G. The Edge 20 has the support of Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. the Edge 20 Fusion has the support of Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. Both have NFC support as well.

Battery & Charging

The Edge 20 Fusion has a 5000mAh Battery with 30W Fast Charging. It is decent battery size and will easily last for a day for any user. The Edge 20 has a 4000mAh Battery with 30W Fast Charging. This will not last for more than one day even with an average user, it should be better. But there’s a reason why its too small-

Build & Design

The Edge 20 is the slimmest 5G phone in India. It’s only 6.99mm. That’s the reason for the smaller battery size. It is available in two colors- Frosted Emerald and Frosted Pearl. Edge 20 has an aluminum frame for better durability, Gorilla Glass 3 at the front, and polycarbonate back. And it weighs only 163g.

The Edge 20 Fusion has a Polycarbonate back and a plastic frame. It weighs 185g with a thickness of 8.3mm.

Memory and Storage

The Edge 20 has two variants with 8GB Ram and 128GB or 256GB storage options. No storage expansion slots here. Edge 20 Fusion has two variants with 128GB Storage and 8GB or 6GB Ram. But the Edge 20 Fusion does have an expansion slot. Although, the 256GB variant in Edge 20 doesn’t need a memory card. The 256 GB storage is more than enough for most of the users.

Security & Extra Features

Both the phones come with their in-house hardware-level Thinkshield security. So they have much better security than other rivals. The Edge 20 has an under-display optical FP scanner whereas the Edge 20 Fusion has a side-mounted FP scanner.

Both have a “Ready For” utility from Motorola. In which, you can cast or control your phone from TV or your PC. The Edge 20 can do it wirelessly but the Edge 20 Fusion needs type-c cable.

Cons

There are some cons as we know nothing is perfect-

There’s not a glass back, which means more fingerprints on back.
Poor protection in front the price (Gorilla Glass 3).
Edge 20 battery size or charging speeds could have been better.
