Yes, you heard that right. Xiaomi recently announced its HyperCharge technology. The company claims it can fully recharge a 4000mAH battery with its wired HyperCharge technology in 8 minutes, based on the test results. It takes just 44 seconds to charge the battery to 10%. Woah. Wireless charging charges the phone to 10% in 1 minute, 50% in 7 minutes, and 100% in 15 minutes.
Xiaomi announced this via a tweet –
Charge up to 100% in just 8 minutes using wired charging and 15 minutes wirelessly! #XiaomiHyperCharge

Taking into account the speed mentioned, Xiaomi has set a world record. Xiaomi has demonstrated this technology on a custom-built Mi 11 Pro battery with a 4000mAh capacity.
Xiaomi has re-ignited the charging speed wars with this technology. Vivo earlier demonstrated its 120W Flash Charger, which claimed to be able to fully recharge a 4000mAh battery in 17 minutes.
Quick/Fast Charge History
Qualcomm introduced fast charging to the mobile industry. Quick charge, however, initially allows charging batteries exceeding 5 volts at 2 amps. It has grown since then, and we are seeing astonishing growth rates.
Charging Speeds: Their Practicality
Nonetheless, these fast charging speeds look very good on papers or in tests. In practice, however, these speeds are difficult to implement. You can now fast charge your battery very easily, however, it is not recommended to charge it at 200W speeds because of battery degradation.
It is therefore unlikely that you will see these speeds on your phones anytime soon. However, Xiaomi hasn’t discussed when and which phones will be the first to utilize this wired and wireless technology. Future flagship models will incorporate this technology.
