Hello everyone, today we will talk about Tata Sky Broadband. They have started heavily promoting Tata Sky broadband. We will discuss the plans offered by Tata Sky Broadband in this blog. They offer 4-6 plans. Let’s start with the entry-level plan, which offers 50 Mbps speed.

50 Mbps
This plan is not available on a monthly basis. However other companies offer the same plan on a monthly basis like Airtel and Jio. You have to pay 3 months in advance to get this plan.
₹2097+GST is the cost for this plan for 3 months. Our monthly payment for this plan is ₹699+GST. If we compare it to its competitors, it is too expensive because its competitors are offering 100 Mbps for ₹699.
100 Mbps
The plan is available on a monthly basis. If we opt for this plan on a monthly basis, we will pay ₹950+GST. If we pay 12 months in advance, we will have to pay ₹8400+GST. In this case, if we opt for this plan on a yearly basis, we will have to pay around ₹700/month.
150 Mbps
This plan will cost us ₹1050 per month. However, Jio offers the same plan for ₹999. Airtel offers this plan for ₹999, but it comes with 200 Mbps. Tata Sky feels more expensive than any other in this case as well.
However, this plan has a twist. If we choose this plan for 12 months. Choosing this plan for 12 months will cost us ₹9600. This means we will have to pay ₹800 a month. Therefore, opting for this plan on an annual basis will be much better. As a result, you would only have to pay ₹800/month for this plan.
There are also some plans, but they are too expensive compared to any other option. We’ll discuss two plans that are very much better than the competition.
500 Mbps
It costs ₹2300+GST per month. It is too much of a price to pay for a 500 Mbps plan when we talk about the alternatives available on the market. When we opt for this plan for a year, it becomes much more affordable than any of its alternatives.
We will have to pay ₹24,600 if we choose this plan for a year. Our monthly payment for this plan will be ₹2050+GST.
1 Gbps
Until now, we have talked about Tata Sky being too expensive compared to going retail. This plan, however, is much cheaper than any of its alternatives. Therefore, if we want a Gbps plan in Jio, we have to pay around ₹4000+GST/month. Tata Sky offers this plan for ₹3600/month.
We will need to pay ₹36,000+GST per year if we opt for the yearly program. For one Gbps, we have to pay ₹3000+GST/month.
We will now talk about the data we are getting in these plans. Tata Sky offers 3300 GB of data per month. The plans in this list, however, are all unlimited plans. After utilizing the FUP limit, we will get 3 Mbps of speed.
Installation & Security Charges
In terms of installation or security charges, Tata Sky offers free installation on all plans. We have to pay ₹1000 for security if we opt for any monthly plan. Furthermore, if we choose the 50 MBPS plan, we have to pay an additional ₹1000 as security.
With all the plans, we are getting a free dual-band router or an ONT device. We can also use one port for landline utilities. In this case, we will need a separate tool, which Tata Sky will not provide.
Tata Sky has one of the biggest disadvantages in that it does not include any OTT bundles with any of its plans. Which we will get from Airtel or Jio. This also does not affect most people, because the service is only available in 5 to 6 cities. As of now, it is only available in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Jaipur, and Bangalore. The company has not yet clarified its plans to expand its broadband services to other cities.
