ONE PLUS SLOW DEATH

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau says the company intends to further merge our organisation with Oppo. Oppo has long been affiliated with the OnePlus behind the scenes, but it is now stating it publicly. Don’t believe me Check your Oneplus box. What does this mean? Allow me to explain further in the article.

Oneplus dead on papers

BBK Electronics owns both OnePlus and Oppo, which also owns Vivo and Realme.
The move looks to be a way for them to reveal their collaboration on product development and channel more of their internal resources. So, what’s the difference now? Earlier, all the four brands – Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and Realme were under BBK Electronics, whereas now only three brands come under BBK Electronics, on paper.

Lau wrote on the website forums, announcing the news. In recent years, the two businesses have been getting closer to a formal reunification. However, it is unclear what this means for customers. Let’s talk about a Twitter post which lists a document of both the companies, where they have clearly stated to their PR teams to answer only these particular responses to the media.

Firstly, The company has stated not to disclose anything related to OS. Which OS would be there in future OnePlus devices – OxygenOS or ColorOS? The company expects their customers to wait for some time till further information on their social media handles. Sounds Fishy! Because if OxygenOS would have been coming to future devices, then there was nothing to hide it from the public.

Research and Development (R&D) resources

Secondly, Last year, OnePlus and Oppo improved their user experience by better integrating their research and development (R&D) resources. With this change, the executive was able to push OnePlus closer to Oppo. If you check any of your Oneplus boxes then you’ll notice that most of the Manufactured info contains Oppo Private Ltd. India. The same case goes for RealMe. This basically means that whatever phone Oppo releases gets rebranding and sold at a different price. Oppo prefers the offline market whereas Oneplus opts for the online market. Earlier, Oneplus was a community-based company But now keeps an eye solely on profits.

Difference for the consumers

The executive also stated that the company’s users would see no substantial changes. Both companies will continue to function as separate businesses under their respective trademarks. Pete Lau, the co-founder of OnePlus said that The business will aim for greater resources to deliver even better products to customers. He mentioned that “faster and more stable software updates” for older models could be one of the adjustments. There’s a strong indication that there’s some problem with the OS, which I personally feel its flawless OS is the best feature. There is a high chance that the company would be swapping its own HydrogenOS with Oppo’s ColorOS.

If the company is aiming to remove its OxygenOS after taking full money? I don’t think Brand has anything left. They don’t even provide alert sliders in the low range.

Oppo, Realme and Oneplus

Are they trying to form an ecosystem? Basically, Oneplus is aiming to gain as many users as they can worldwide, including iOS users. There’s no surprise that in the future Realme can also be seen under Vivo/Oppo. Because IQOO which was recently launched under Vivo. They have altogether five brands – Oppo, Vivo, IQOO, Oneplus and Realme. now, a normal has to choose among these five brands of same group and two- three other brands, which will increase their market share. They are trying to implement Divde and rule strategy if yo guys have any other thought related to this, kindly let us know in the comment section down below.

OnePlus has long abandoned its “flagship killer” roots and instead competes with high-end “Pro” phones. OnePlus initially launched the phone to organically gain the hype. We’ve seen increment on the pricing of their phones. Today, if you go for its Flagship, it costs more than Rs 70k. Many customers think why not to go for Apple or Samsung for such a price-bracket?

HassleBlad was also not so good as the hype was created.

OnePlus was also co-founded by Lau and his fellow Carl Pei who both worked at Oppo before establishing the new brand Nothing.

All these factors points the slow death of Oneplus has begun.
