Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the tech giant would not release an iPhone SE 4 in 2024. In a research note obtained by 9to5Mac, Kuo cites a lack of technological upgrades and market demand as the main reasons for this decision.
The iPhone SE series, which stands for “Special Edition,” is a budget-friendly alternative to Apple’s flagship iPhone models. The iPhone SE 3, released in April 2023, features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, Touch ID, and A14 Bionic chip, making it a popular choice for users who want the latest technology at a more affordable price.
However, Kuo believes that the market demand for a budget iPhone may not be as strong in 2024 as more users opt for higher-end models with larger displays and more advanced features. In addition, he notes that it may be difficult for Apple to introduce significant technological upgrades in the next iteration of the iPhone SE without increasing the price.
This news disappoints fans of the iPhone SE series, who have been hoping for an updated version of the device. Unfortunately, Apple has not yet commented on the speculation.
